Connie Lok
Connie Lok is the Senior Registrar of the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ), the only statutory accreditation body which provides authoritative advice to the Government on the academic standards of degree and sub-degree programmes in higher, post-secondary and vocational education institutions in Hong Kong. The HKCAAVQ now has a team of about 40 professional grade staff and provides accreditation and assessment services to Government bureaux and departments, education and training operators, NGOs and general public. Connie is mainly responsible for overseeing the Council’s accreditation activities, including the compilation of accreditation guidelines for accreditors and education providers. She is also the officer-in-charge of the assessment services of non-local courses seeking registration under a local Ordinance in which the HKCAAVQ is designated as the Government’s adviser.
Prior to joining the HKCAAVQ, Connie has over seventeen years experience in university administration and accreditation services.
