PG8: Mutual Recognition of QA Agencies
The purpose of the project group on Mutual Recognition is to discuss the possibilities of setting up arrangements of mutual recognition in relation to transnational education reviews done by external quality assurance agencies in the region. The discussion will be based on an analysis of the situation relating to transnational education in the region, on the advantages of and barriers for mutual recognition, the consequences of mutual recognition as well as an identification of the necessary parameters for achieving mutual recognition.
The analysis is intended to feed into a publication on good practices when launching processes of mutual recognition. At the end of the first phase of the project it will be decided by the APQN board if a pilot project should be conducted testing the possibility of establishing mutual recognition of transnational education reviews.
